Pre-Olympic Lottery 2012: Indonesia to face Turkmenistan

Indonesia will face Turkmenistan in two meetings home and away preliminary round qualifier at the 2012 London Olympics, 23 February and 9 March 2011.
In accordance with a lottery conducted AFC Wednesday (20/10) evening, Indonesia will face Turkmenistan, FIFA ranked opponents one level below. For the final round of qualifying matches up to the Olympics, the teams that competed were U-23 team each member of FIFA.
A total of 35 teams following the Olympic qualifying and appropriate achievement of the previous 13 teams to be top seed. A total of 22 remaining teams will compete against each other 11 tickets to the first round of qualifying.
Winners of preliminary rounds will face 13 teams seeded with two home games and away games, which will be held 19 and 23 June next year.
In the second round, 12 teams will be divided into three groups. Starting 21 September 2011 until March 14, 2012, round digela group. Winner of each group qualify automatically for London. Runner-up of each group following the play-off fight a ticket to London remained at a neutral venue, the end of March 2012
Turkmenistan is not an easy opponent for Indonesia. Their senior team recorded a runner-up in the AFC Challenge Cup 2010 and the HCM City Cup champion in Vietnam. Turkmenistan U-23 also participated in 2002 and Busan Asian Games Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games.
In Guangzhou, a branch of football is played from 7 until 25 November. Turkmenistan is one group with Iran, Vietnam and Bahrain.
Indonesian U-23 itself does not have a team and prepare a clear timetable. Coach Alfred Riedl also have to divide the concentration by Red-White led the senior team at the AFF Championship event later this year.
The only definite agenda for Indonesia U-23 is a showcase SEA Games held on home turf.
