In the entire city of New York, the preacher armed with T-shirts, brochures, books and posters, gave a lecture that the world will end. By using a complex numerical calculations in the gospel, they even create an ad in the subway station to give warning that there was "great earthquake"that would accompany the Day of Judgement.
"According to the Gospel, in the Book of Revelations will occur earthquakes around the world. We're still not sure what will happen at the same time, because in every parts of the country has a different time. But that certainly will occur simultaneously worldwide," said Manny as reported by AFP on Thursday (05/19/2011).
May 21, 2011 does look random, but that date are based on numerical analysis by Harold Camping, president of Family Radio, a religious broadcaster in California.
"In the beginning, in the year 4990. God told Noah that within seven days He will destroy the earth. And He destroyed it in seven days,"said Manny.
"So if it is done calculating the year 4990 plus the 7001 years (the equation with seven days), the same as 2011," he continued.
Not only that, May 21, considered to coincide with the 17th day of the second month of the calendar used in the Gospels when the big flood occurred.
