Where is a comfortable city livable? the answer is City of Vancouver. The city is located at the top of the list of the cities of the world's best place to stay for the fifth time in a row, while Melbourne Vienna shifts in second place, along with the dominance of the cities in Australia and Canada in the top 10 list.
In an annual survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit, Vancouver received 98 percent assessment on a combination of stability, health facilities, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure - have not changed from last year's assessment, according to Reuters Life reported.
Vancouver has been in the top list since 2007. Although outperformed the Austrian capital for the second position, no other major changes in the list of 140 cities and towns that world. Auckland, New Zealand, is ranked 10.
"Medium-sized cities in developed countries with relatively low population densities tend to get good value because it has all the benefits of culture and infrastructure that are offered with fewer problems associated with crime or congestion," said Jon Copestake, editor of the report, in a statement.
London moved up one rank to the position 53, while Paris is ranked 16. Osaka became the highest ranked city in Asia, which is ranked 12, to compete with Geneva, Switzerland, and defeated the Japanese capital, Tokyo, which ranked 18th. Hong Kong was ranked 31 but Beijing, capital of the country with the densest population and the economy second, is ranked 72.
In the lowest ratings are also only a slight change, namely Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, once again claim the worst position with 37.5 percent rating. The survey was based on 30 factors such as health facilities, culture and environment, education and security.
