just wanted to share stories
one of the places that seemed to always bring back the question in my mind
What does God ever created a small paradise heaven on earth?
I admit the beauty of the place is very spoiled all my senses.
eyes are accustomed to struggling with a computer monitor that measures just 33 cm x 24 cm, this seems to be wildly out of limited space.
sky blue, which sometimes lead to decay of the blue shades of the lake surface, light blue at the base of the horizon and rose colored the sky blue to the top. occasional white clouds gathering in the horizon limit increasingly bring imagination to the sky 3 Dimension on the animated film that I often see.
the sound of birds and insects sound wood as if trying to fill the cavity filled with familiar talk and gossip that are less pleasant. Not to mention the gusts of wind that played around with hair as if aware of what is the meaning of our presence at that time .. I unconsciously began to enjoy feeling like meditating, living in the moment, at this time and this second.
but first I think it was in 2004 when one of his colleagues in Earthkids, Ms. Elly never talked about his family vacation in Lake Sentarum. Where every morning no day to enjoy its natural beauty. then unconsciously little heart I said, one day I also want to go there .. power of the subconscious or just luck initially, so do not feel lucky since 2006 I've menjejakan feet at this location as much as 6x.
located approximately 700 km from the city of Pontianak, West Kalimantan. TN Lake Sentarum including one of the largest wetland areas in Asia with an area reaching 132,000 hectares. to reach to the location needed "a little" sacrifice depends on how much budget you have.
sizable budget surplus that could use AC Damri bus traveling from Pontianak about 9 hours to reach the city Sintang. after that change with the speed boat that can accommodate 4 people about 4-5 hours to reach the lake region Sentarum. for that at least the bus will cost approximately USD 110,000. rental speedboat from the information I get now already reached the figure of 2 to 2.5 million each way.
I am familiar with a minimum investment to choose the next alternative. by using economic bus (possibly, if such jakarta Kopaja) around 14-15 hours to suhaid (approximately Rp90,000) and then be continued by using long boat approximately 3 hours (cost around 1 million, depending on the nego).
but all will pay off when we are already beginning to enjoy how beautiful the lake Sentarum.
yes for me, when leaning on bantung motor (motorized boat that serves as the ship and stayed home during the trip on the lake Sentarum) as if time stopped turning .. though not far from there the threat of oil companies quickly and surely undermined, threatening the sustainability of paradise left in this place.
